Art Show "Draws" in Many

Thanks to the many artists and volunteers who participated, the annual Art Show and Sale was once again a great success. This year the show and sale took place. over two days and consisted of 384 pieces of art submitted by 49 artists. Over $12,000 in art work was sold with 30% of that total going to the Farm for programs and daily operations. Other items sold that day included Aldermere tee-shirts, hats, note cards, and related items.

A variety of works sold including a large original painting of Camden Harbor by local artist Dan Daly, and many "Beltie" paintings and prints. Paintings of Maine coastal scenes were accepted into the show this year in honor of the work that Maine Coast Heritage Trust does to preserve this special resource. In all, Aldermere staff were very pleased with the event and gratified that it receives more and more interest from local artists every year.
