Appreciation Night: A Family Affair

Fun! Fun! Fun! That is what was had by all at the Appreciation Night held on Thursday, August 17th, from 6-8pm at the Farm. The event, put on jointly by Aldermere and MCHT, was held in honor of the many donors, hayland owners, and volunteers who assisted the Farm over the past year. Families were invited to attend a barbeque and kids participated in a few farm games like Pin the Tail on the Beltie (not a real Beltie), Needle in the Haystack, Three-Legged Race, and a Hay Bale Toss. The kids truly enjoyed these games, especially playing in the hay.

Some of the Farm's 4-H club members were also on hand to demonstrate their skills in an obstacle course with their heifers. This part of the event had the audience mesmerized and cheering. There were approximately 70 people in attendance, with a good group of kids of various ages. Smiles were seen and laughter heard throughout the evening. Thanks again to all those who support the Farm, both financially and by volunteeing their valuable time for our community programs and events.
