Fun Making Wreaths for a Cause

In December, just before the holidays, two Girl Scout Troops came to the Farm to make and decorate wreaths for some fun and for a great local charity. The Girl Scouts consisted of Troop 298 of Lincolnville and Troop 185 from Rockland. They completed twenty eight wreaths in all, which were then donated to Meals-on-Wheels for their clients in Knox County. Along with making wreaths, the girls received a tour of the Farm as well as hot chocolate and treats, to sustain them through the wreath making process. This is the fifth year Aldermere Farm and local Girl Scout Troops have teamed up to donate wreaths to Meals-on-Wheels.
