Sap-to-Syrup Events at Aldermere

Aldermere Farm, a property of Maine Coast Heritage Trust, will host community sap gathering and boiling events for the sap-to-syrup process. Gathering events will occur on March 11th and 18th at 4pm, and the16th of March at 2pm, and the boiling events will occur on March 22nd at 2pm and 25th at 4pm. These events offer community members an opportunity to experience the process of making maple syrup at the Farm.

Participants will have the chance to walk around the property and assist in identifying Sugar Maple trees that can accept a tap and then participate in the process. The events are a wonderful opportunity for families and individuals to experience what goes on behind the scenes in the process of making maple syrup.

The size of the groups will be limited in order to insure that everyone has a chance to participate fully, so please contact 236-2739 to register. Children are welcome and encouraged to attend!
