Food Connects
Food Connects: A learning event celebrating how food shapes our community
An event brought to you by both Knox County and Lincoln County Food Councils
When: 12 – 4 p.m. May 21, 2022.
Where: Woolen Mill Park. Warren, Maine
The Lincoln County Food Council along with the Knox County Food Council are putting on a public event to celebrate local food by increasing knowledge of and engagement with the local food system.
The event will be an outdoor gathering with up to four (4) speakers, and have a local food vendor and organization fair component. The goals are to showcase the different aspects of the food system in Lincoln County and Knox County, celebrate the people and organizations that are involved, and create a greater sense of community through food.
The Food Councils are partnering for this event with the Saint George River Cafe and Meeting House. The Cafe already embodies the similar values of gathering, giving back, and supporting local endeavors.
We are asking for donations of any size (suggesting between $25 – $200), or in-kind any item (from tables, to paper products, to people-power) to make this event a success. Donations can be made via the details below. Sponsors will be recognized at the event and on select marketing materials. You may also choose to remain anonymous. Funds will go to event needs and enable the Councils to offer this event for no charge.
