Family Gardening Workshops
Families with youth ages 7-12 years old learn together how to grow food using the square foot gardening method. Monthly hands-on workshops are held at Erickson Fields Preserve from May – August.
Kids and adults will learn how to build raised garden beds and the basics of intensive vegetable gardening in a 3’ x 5’ bed.
The workshops are held at Erickson Fields Preserve, 164 West Street in Rockport where MCHT hosts an active Community Garden and operates a 4-acre vegetable farm producing 17,000+ pounds of produce annually for food assistance sites and more.
Families may participate in one or more of the four 90-minute afternoon workshops being offered between May and August.
